Depth in Grey

A four-level residence in Ari, designed for a family with distinct personalities and preferences. The interior layout was carefully designed to support their lifestyle, with each floor offering a unique feel and details based on its function.
The first floor emphasizes openness, using earth tones to create a calm and understated feel. The lighting system was thoughtfully designed to adapt to different activities throughout the day.
The second floor serves as a private retreat for the parents, with a focus on spaciousness, visual clarity, and practical functionality.
The third floor belongs to the eldest son, a psychiatrist, who needed a space that feels restful and quiet. A clam black palette and minimal visual distractions help foster a sense of calm.
The fourth floor was designed for the younger son, a naval officer with a strong connection to water. The layout reflects his unique lifestyle, with a freestanding bathtub placed at the head of the bed, serving as the room’s focal point and a clear expression of personality.

On the first floor, the kitchen zone features a black backdrop that allows the dining area to stand out.
This contrast creates a sense of stillness and depth. The dining and kitchen areas are clearly defined based on the natural flow of the space, with a dedicated coffee drip corner that serves as both a visual highlight and a subtle divider between zones.

The piano area is placed in a quiet corner of the bedroom, defined by slim black stainless steel shelving and mirrored panels that create a light yet visually grounded partition. These materials reflect light and add a subtle flow to the room without disrupting its overall atmosphere. This small corner becomes a calming space that seamlessly extends from the main resting area.
